Can someone tell me why they aren't having JM figure out that he is really Darius or anyone else for that matter???

I believe - in the first book- that the Scribe Virgin allows Darius to be reincarnated with the condition that he does not remember anything of his current life. There are many deja vu moments with him in the books - strong connections with people, his size, his fighting skills, even his DNA. At the same time he is distinctly John Matthew. How weird would it be if it is revealed that he is not Beth's brother, but rather her father?
